Monsters in the garden……

Another blog from Cupcake Princess today to tell you all about her latest project. She has been making a monster stuffed toy to give to her little cousin for his birthday. The pattern came from Make a Monster by Fiona Goble:

Step 1 – We traced the pattern from the book onto the plastic sheet.

Step 1 - Trace the monster pattern

step 2-Cut out the shapes and then draw around the spike pattern on the fleece.

Step 2 Cut out the pieces

step 3-Now using zig zag stitch sew over the out line of the spikes.

Step 3 - Sew over the zig zag piece

step 4-Sandwich the outside and the spikes together.Sew around the outside but leave a gap for stuffing.

Step 4 - Sew the pieces together

Step 5 – Turn the monster the right way round through the gap.

Step 6 – Cut 2 circles from felt and find two buttons for the eyes.Sew onto the monster.

Step 6 - Attach the eyes

Step 7 – Stuff the monster.

Step 7 - Stuff the monster

Step 8 – Sew up the gap.

Step 8 - Sew up the stuffing hole

You will now have a lovely Dinah monster to play with.

I hope my cousin likes his monster.It was easy really except for the head that mum did.
